About NelCapeTown
A hands-on AI, automation, and workflow practice based in Cape Town — built for people who want practical help, not a cloud of buzzwords wearing a conference lanyard.
The Work
NelCapeTown (Pty) Ltd, trading as Solution Adventurist through nelcapetown.com, helps founders, creators, consultants, and small teams turn promising technology into practical working systems. The work lives in the useful middle: where software architecture, AI tools, automation, and creative workflows meet the stubborn texture of real life.
This is not abstract AI strategy delivered from a mist machine. It is guided, practical work at screen level: install the tool, shape the workflow, fix the friction, ship the thing.
Nel Prinsloo
Nel has been building software for nearly three decades, across backend systems, business applications, databases, integrations, developer tooling, and the occasionally snarling thicket of enterprise complexity.
That history matters. The current AI era is exciting, but good software still needs structure, judgement, empathy, naming, boundaries, and clean lines of responsibility. The tools became genuinely useful. The workflow changed. The old craft widened.
NelCapeTown grew from a repeated observation: smart, motivated people were not failing because they lacked intelligence or ambition. They were getting stuck in the gap between inspiration and implementation — between the polished demo and the stubborn reality of their own machine, their own data, their own deadline, and their own business.
Solution Adventurist
Solution Adventurist is more than a byline. It is a way of working: curious, pragmatic, persistent, and mildly allergic to unnecessary ceremony, committee-shaped fog, and solutions wearing borrowed feathers.
Some problems need architecture. Some need automation. Some need a careful conversation and a fresh pair of eyes. Some need a prototype, a refactor, a workflow, a diagram, a script, or simply one brave decision made in the right place. If the prescribed path does not work, we look for the hidden door, the cleaner cut, the simpler shape.
Not every adventure needs a sword. Sometimes a sharper question, a well-placed script, or a cup of coffee at the right moment will do.
