WhatsApp Business Setup Service

Give customers one more easy way to start a conversation with your business.

Keep your telephone number, website, Facebook and Instagram presence. Add one clear prompt wherever customers already find you: “Send us a WhatsApp on [your business number].” A click-to-chat link or QR code can take them into a familiar business conversation where they can see useful details, browse selected products and ask a question.

R1,950 once off

Target: within five business days after cleared payment and receipt of all prerequisites.

The WhatsApp Business app is free to download; R1,950 is the price of NelCapeTown's setup, configuration and handover service for one business and one telephone number. An enquiry does not take payment, create an order or reserve a delivery date.

Two ways to meet Madame

Madame Gear & Glitter's — a little brass, a little sparkle.

Fine supplies for questionable artistic decisions. Try our fictional craft shop: choose your curiosities, place a demo order, then simulate dispatch and delivery.

Play here: the inventory, basket and order stages respond to your choices. Everything stays in this browser sandbox; reloading starts fresh. No payment, personal details or WhatsApp messages.

A practical starting point

Who this setup is useful for

A small shop

Show a focused selection of products, useful descriptions and prices in a simple mobile catalogue.

An independent business

Answer recurring questions about hours, location, collection or product information more consistently.

An existing WhatsApp Business user

Organise a profile, catalogue, saved responses and labels that have grown untidy over time.

These are examples of suitable use cases, not customer testimonials or promises of increased sales.

Included in the base package

A useful setup your business can maintain

Business profile

Business name, category, description, supported public contact details, operating hours, website and supplied logo or brand information.

Small product catalogue

Up to 10 product entries using names, descriptions, prices and suitable images you supply, plus agreed supporting fields where available.

Contact us for details if you have more than 10 products that you want on your WhatsApp profile.

Customer messages

10 ready-to-use message responses, saved as quick replies, plus one greeting message, one away message and a practical starter set of labels.

You select and send quick replies. Greeting and away messages can be sent automatically according to the app settings you approve.

Easy contact and handover

A click-to-chat link and QR code, up to two remote sessions totalling no more than two hours, a handover checklist, one in-scope correction round and seven calendar days of limited post-handover support.

Handover includes how to update a catalogue item and use or edit a quick reply.

Fewer repeated keystrokes

Replies shaped around real customer questions

The 10 quick replies are adapted to your business. Useful topics may include opening hours, location, product information, pricing, availability, how to order, payment information, delivery, collection, and returns or support.

We do not invent payment methods, stock levels, delivery promises or refund rights. You approve the facts before they are saved.

Opening hours

“Thanks for your message. Our opening hours are [approved hours].”

Collection

“Collection is available from [approved location] during [approved times].”

Availability

“Please tell us which item you need and we will confirm current availability.”

A visible process

From enquiry to payment and setup

1

Enquire and agree scope

Send an enquiry. We confirm your number, device, business authority and requirements. The standard package costs R1,950; additional work needs a written quote that you accept before it begins.

2

Receive an invoice and pay

Once scope is agreed, we send an invoice with payment instructions. Pay securely through PayFast, or request direct EFT using your unique invoice reference. Full payment must be confirmed before setup starts; direct EFT starts once funds reflect, not on proof of payment alone.

3

Check inputs

Receive and review the approved business details, product information, images and common answers.

4

Arrange and configure

Guide the account setup and configure the agreed profile, catalogue, messages, labels and contact links.

5

Review and hand over

Review the setup with you and show you how to maintain the catalogue and replies.

6

Support

Complete one in-scope correction round and provide seven calendar days of limited follow-up support.

The five-business-day target starts only after payment has cleared and every prerequisite is complete. Customer-caused delays move the target accordingly.

Larger catalogue or custom artwork?

Confirm extra work before it begins

The R1,950 package covers up to 10 products using information and images you supply. Larger catalogues and custom product artwork are quoted separately before work begins. Tell us how many products you need and what images are available, and we will confirm the scope and price in writing.

Describe your catalogue

A foundation for more

Connect the conversation when your business is ready

A useful WhatsApp presence can complement the Facebook and Instagram marketing you already run. It gives interested customers somewhere to ask a question, inspect catalogue items and continue the buying conversation.

If message volume or ordering needs grow, we can separately assess a move beyond the basic app setup. That project could include WhatsApp Business Platform or Cloud API, click-to-message campaign journeys, a website or order-system connection, structured hand-off to a person, or eligible Meta business-AI capabilities.

Automation is not switched on merely by having a WhatsApp Business account. Meta product availability, account eligibility, customer consent, data quality, security, integrations, message charges and human oversight all affect what is responsible and feasible.

Useful updates are not the same as marketing

A non-promotional order confirmation or delivery update, triggered by something the customer did, can be a utility message. A promotion, special offer, product recommendation or re-engagement message is marketing. A business cannot treat its customer list as permission to send marketing messages: it must obtain the appropriate opt-in, honour opt-outs and use approved message templates where Meta requires them.

Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform message charges are separate third-party charges. Meta sets them by message category and recipient market; they are not NelCapeTown messaging fees and are not included in our setup or automation quotation unless a written quotation expressly says otherwise.

See Meta's official overview of campaign and business-AI developments across WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram, the Business Platform message categories and pricing, and the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy. Availability is not guaranteed for every South African business or account.

Clear boundaries

The R1,950 package is specifically for the WhatsApp Business app. It does not include WhatsApp Business Platform or Cloud API setup, Meta verification, number migration, CRM, chatbot or automation integrations, advertising, ongoing message management, inaccessible-account recovery, third-party fees, additional businesses or numbers, or work outside the agreed handover checklist.

Business Platform and Cloud API work is available as a separate, bespoke service. We first assess the automation, catalogue, ordering, integration, hosting and support requirements, then provide a written quotation based on the agreed scope. See AI Services & Automation for examples and the enquiry process.

WhatsApp and Meta are third-party names and services. NelCapeTown is an independent service provider and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by WhatsApp or Meta.

Cancellation and refunds

Cancellation before work begins may receive a full refund. After work begins, the assessment considers work already delivered, customer-approved non-recoverable third-party costs and applicable consumer rights. Read the Refund & Cancellation Policy for the governing summary.

WhatsApp setup questions

Can you organise an existing WhatsApp Business account?

Yes, if you control the eligible number and device and the requested work fits the package. We confirm the existing state during the readiness check.

Do you take control of my account?

No. You retain control of the number, device and verification steps. We guide and configure the agreed items with you.

What does “up to 10 products” mean?

It is the service limit for the R1,950 package. We create up to 10 agreed catalogue entries from suitable information and images you supply. It is not a limit on WhatsApp's technical catalogue capacity.

What if I need more than 10 products?

Larger catalogues are quoted separately in writing before work begins. There is no automatic surcharge or extra-product checkout.

Will you create or photograph my product images?

Not in the base package. It uses suitable images you provide and have permission to use. Original artwork, photography, extensive retouching or bespoke image production requires a separate written quotation.

Are quick replies automatic?

No. Quick replies are saved responses that you select and send. The separate greeting and away messages can be automatic according to the WhatsApp Business app settings you approve.

Is this the WhatsApp API or a chatbot?

No. The R1,950 package is for the WhatsApp Business app. Business Platform, Cloud API, CRM, AI assistant, chatbot and custom automation work can be assessed separately and quoted according to the required scope.

Can you set up the WhatsApp Business Platform and Cloud API?

Yes, where the requirements and platform eligibility are suitable. This is bespoke integration work rather than part of the fixed-price app setup. We clarify the catalogue, messaging, automation, data, hosting and support requirements before providing a written quotation.

Can customers order from my WhatsApp catalogue?

Where WhatsApp's catalogue cart is available, a customer can add items and send the cart to your business as an order request. The seller must still confirm the order. Connecting stock, checkout, payment, fulfilment or AI-assisted handling requires a separate assessment and written quotation.

Does this package include Meta AI or automated replies across Facebook and Instagram?

No. This package sets up the WhatsApp Business app and its included messaging tools. Eligible Meta business-AI features, cross-app campaign journeys, Cloud API integrations and custom automation are separate projects whose availability, data, security, consent and support needs must be assessed first.

When does the five-day target begin?

After payment has cleared and every required detail, image, approval and session arrangement has been received.

What happens at handover?

We review the agreed setup, show you how to update a catalogue item and use or edit a quick reply, provide the checklist, and begin the seven-calendar-day limited support period.
